Tours of Davidson Charter Academy are offered the 1st Tuesday of the month between 9-10am and the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 1-2pm.

Open Enrollment Application Period

​

Open Enrollment is designed to give all interested parents equal opportunity for their child to attend Davidson Charter Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy. During open enrollment (December 5, 2024 – February 13, 2025), all applications get equal consideration regardless of the date submitted. An application received at the end of open enrollment receives equal treatment to one received on the first day of open enrollment.

Following the close of open enrollment on February 13, 2025, if the number of applications exceeds the number of open seats, a random selection lottery will determine acceptance. The Lottery will be run on February 15, 2025. If the number of applications does not exceed the number of open seats, all applicants are accepted for their respective grade, and all families will be notified soon after the close of the open enrollment period.

Lottery

Our Lotteries will be run through our electronic system, Scribbles, and are visible and open to the public. Lotteries will be held for any grade in which the number of applications exceeds the number of openings. Names are randomly selected, and applicants are accepted based on the order in which they are selected. The lottery continues until all names are drawn. Applicants who are not accepted will be placed on a waiting list in the order their names were selected.

Waiting Lists

It is not unusual for a small percentage of accepted students to select other options prior to the start of school. Those on waiting lists fill openings, created by those opt-outs. Do not become discouraged if your child is put on a waiting list. Openings can and do become available.
