School Lunch Information

DCA is proud to be partnered with My Hot Lunchbox for our school lunch service!

With this program, you can order your student’s favorite meals from restaurants they know and love.

Important Lunch Information

DCA does not have a cafeteria and students are not able to heat up food.

 

If a student does not order from My Hot Lunchbox, they must bring a lunch from home. 

 

DCA will not receive any food that is delivered to the school by an outside company. 

If your students forgets their lunch at home, please drop it off no later than 11 am.

 

Students in grades K-4 eat lunch in their classrooms

Students in grades 5-8 eat lunch in the Middle School Commons Area

Lunch Assistance Program

1. Create your My Hot Lunchbox Account

               

2. Submit the Reduced Lunch Application AND your most current Letter of Verification stating your family is receiving food stamps or government assistance to: office@davidsoncharter.org. *Qualifying information is located on the application.*

 

3. Your application will be reviewed and if you qualify, you will receive an email from the office.

 

4. Each qualifying child will receive a $5.00 per day credit, typically ‘front-loaded’ at the beginning of each month. For example, if there are 20 school days in that month, you will receive $100 in credit.

  • Parents decide how to spend it. If you want to purchase lunch and/or supplemental items from the menu, you may do so using your credit or another form of payment.

5. Please allow up to one week for processing of all applications.

How to Sign Up:

  • Go to https://ordernow.myhotlunchbox.com/sign-up

  • Click on "Create an Account" under “Customer”

  • Fill in all required fields to create your account

  • Once you've created your account, add a Profile for each student you are ordering for

 

FAQs:

How can I see what's on the school lunch menu?

Once you have created your free account, you can view daily menus on the Lunch

Calendar by selecting the day of the week and the profile you’d like to place an order

for. You can also view any pending or paid orders by selecting the My Cart tab on the

left sidebar.

 

When do I need to place my lunch order?

The deadline to add, edit, or cancel an order is 12PM (noon) the day before delivery.

 

How do I place an order for lunch?

Log into your My Hot Lunchbox account, click on the Lunch Calendar, and select the

day and profile you would like to place an order for. This will populate the lunch menu

and you can select the items you would like to order. Once the items are selected, click

the Add to Order button and your meal(s) will be added to your cart. You can continue

placing orders for future dates or you can click on the My Cart tab and proceed to check

out and pay for the meals.

Helpful tip: If you would like to repeat the same meal for a specific day of the week for

the semester, check the repeat box in the lower-left corner. You are also able to process

all meals and have your card charged weekly by selecting “Activate Subscription”

under My Cart/Subscription.

 

Is there an app available for ordering lunch?

Yes! The My Hot Lunchbox app is available for download on the App Store and Google
